Shavonda works hard to give her two sons and daughter the best life possible and to put them all through college within the next few years.
But in her own words, working two jobs and taking care of three teenagers as a single mother can sometimes be overwhelming.
She came to United Way in need of assistance because she lost hours at one of her jobs and could not pay rent for April.
UWLS Case Manager Keia Wilson helped connect Shavonda to the resources and assistance she needed to make her rent.
“I want to thank United Way of Lake and Sumter County again for their services in a time of need,” Shavonda said.
United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties works to ensure every resident has what they need to thrive.
