Red Apple Teacher
World Teachers’ Day celebrates teachers and their amazing stamina. This day provides the opportunity to celebrate early childhood teaching professionals in Lake and Sumter Counties. We will take stock of achievements and draw attention to the voices of these amazing early childhood educators.

We award one amazing teacher from Lake County and one amazing teacher from Sumter County. Winners receive a gift basket and a red apple trophy. Directors recommended outstanding teachers from their early childhood programs. The winners earn a teaching position at our UWLS Mini Childhood Conference this summer.
We at United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties encourage Directors to recommend a teacher from your early childhood program for this prestigious award. If you would like to participate click the link: https://www.uwls.org/master-teacher-program-teacher-of-the-year/
