SHORT BIOGRAPHY: I was born and reared in Walhalla, SC in 1962 and have one sister. I am the oldest child. I am a Baptist minister and have worked in KY, NY, SC, GA, and FL. I am also president of a Bible college. My wife, Cathy, and I met and were married in NY. We do not have any children, but we have 5 cats. I am deaf in my right ear.

GOALS: I have 3 major goals. First, I want to lead UWLS from a $1.4 million non-profit into a $5 million non-profit in 5 years. Second, I want to expand and increase the Bible college enrollment from 45 students to 100 students in 5 years. Third, I want to become the most influential leader of non-profits in Lake and Sumter Counties.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: I have led religious non-profits for over 30 years. I have three doctoral degrees in counseling, education, and theology. My ministry has focused on turning failing churches into thriving churches. I was a hospice chaplain for Lake and Sumter for 5 years. My first internship was in a maximum security prison in SC.
INTERESTS: Reading, writing stories, teaching, and being a nature tourist of Florida.
NETWORKS: Member of Chambers of Commerce in Eustis, Tavares, Leesburg, South Lake and Sumter County. I am a member of several advisory panels of government and human services providers in Lake and Sumter Counties. I am involved in the grant funding process of United Way for many non-profits in Lake and Sumter Counties.
SKILLS: Inspirational and motivational speaker, leading a team, conflict resolution counselor, help non-profits draft Articles of Incorporation, Constitution and bylaws, and file for 501(c)3 tax exempt status from the IRS, one-to-one mentoring.
