United Way Lake & Sumter’s annual Day of Caring brings neighbors together to support local nonprofit organizations through hands-on, project-based volunteer opportunities.

Each year, individuals, families, and teams step up to make a meaningful difference – whether it’s beautifying community spaces, supporting local programs, or lending a hand where it’s needed most. These moments of service create a powerful ripple effect, strengthening connections, building relationships, and helping create a more resilient community for all.

Day of Caring may be a single day, but the need (and the opportunity to help) is year-round.
